Uplifted

My entry for the Kubo and the Two Strings contest- Uplifting

I chose to show Kubo overcoming a personal obstacle - depression. Depression can take many forms, and oftentimes one can find themselves completely engulfed by it without noticing the obvious signs- like a fly in a venus fly trap.  

I overcame my own postpartum depression. It was terribly difficult and i had very low points.   I was very much determined to not let it get the best of me, however.  I learned a lot and grew as a person from it.
